to Mrs. Kennedy's Class! She is very excited that you will be
spending the next year with her. Together the class will
achieve extraordinary highs!
Mrs.
Kennedy has been a resident of Cobb County for 27 years. She
attended Dodgen Middle School, Dickerson Middle School and graduated
from Walton High School. She holds an undergraduate degree
from the University
of Georgia and a
Masters degree in Science and Social Studies from
Kennesaw
State University. She is
currently working on adding her "L-5" to her masters from the
University of West Georgia. Her teaching experience spans over 18 years. She has been an
eighth grade science teacher, program developer for the Extended
Enrichment Initiative program, an Instructional Lead Teacher,
an Instructional Technology Specialist, and a 4th grade teacher.
Mrs. Kennedy has
been nominated for several awards including Teacher of the Year,
GSTA Science Teacher of the Year, and Apple Distinguished Educator.
Mrs. Kennedy is married with two daughters who attend Ford
Elementary School. In her spare
time she enjoys her family, friends, gardening, technology, and playing
tennis.
